Pinkfresh Studio May Essentials Release Blog Hop
Hi all! You're joining me here for the Pinkfresh Studio May Essentials Release Blog Hop! Today is all about a fun new release of Essential dies! There are tons of frames and labels in this offering, as well as some new pretty crystals! All of these things are items you can use on any project to add some extra details or combine them with other products to make your card go from good to amazing!
We've got a fun lineup for you, and you can hop from one blog to the next, or head back to the Pinkfresh blog for the entire roster and all the details. Before this stop, I'm sure you saw some gorgeous work from Natasha. Before you leave here, there are prizes and special offers you'll want to hear about so be sure to scroll all the way down.
I focused my cards on the Basic Label Frames dies. They include multiple dies in 3 different shapes that you can use to create labels or pair up 2 sizes to cut a frame. I can see these coming in handy for me especially when it comes to adding sentiments to projects.
For my first card, I used the hexagon dies to cut different images and phrases from the 12x12 Joyful Day Simple Pleasures paper. It's broken into cute squares already so I took the dies and cut out a few I thought would make a pretty card.
There are multiple sentiments, meant to make encouraging statements, and lots of colors! The focal point is the blue bird and I've added a small pink hexagon that says 'sweet little things.' A gold and white bow from the Joyful Day ephemera pack is stacked on top and a few of the new flat-backed crystals in light pink offer a sweet finish.
On my second card, I turned to Everyday Musings for another mutli-colored card with the rounded rectangle dies. I chose several colored patterned papers to use with a range of rectangle sizes. Then I arranged and layered them in sort of a folk-inspired or kaleidoscope-like design.
I used the second largest die to create a label in the middle for my sentiment, and popped it up over a bit of lace with some 3-D foam dots. I used the Classic Word dies from April's Essentials release for my message, choosing 'Celebrate,' which is lifted with foam dots, as well. Some green and navy blue crystals offer a little glitz to the finished card.
Thanks for stopping by today! You're on to the lovely TaeEun's blog next! If you get lost, you can always circle back to the Pinkfresh Studio blog where they've got the entire list of hop participants. Before you go, here's a little more info on those prizes and shop specials...
