Pinkfresh Studio :: June Washi Release Blog Hop

Happy Monday guys!  Have you had a chance to check out the Pinkfresh Studio washi yet?  It is amazing and if you haven't heard, it's releasing today!  Naturally, we're celebrating its debut with a blog hop and all the fun stuff that comes with a Pinkfresh blog hop--prizes, shopping incentives, and of course, lots of inspiration!!  You may have arrived here from TaeEun's blog, and I'm sure she shared something absolutely wonderful!  I've provided some links and info here in my post, but the entire list of participating blogs, as well as all the new product details can be found on the Pinkfresh blog HERE.

Let's get to the cards!  I honestly could have kept making and making, but sadly, I had to do other things like feed my family and get some much needed sleep--oh, those pesky personal needs, right?!  I will share this secret: I have a Pinkfresh blog post coming tomorrow (here and on their page) and you just might see a little something featuring the washi tape and dies if you come back for that post ;)

My 2 projects today put the spotlight on the Adorable Frames washi tape.  It's so pretty and makes a great backdrop for florals, sentiments, or anything else you want to frame.  My first card shows the aqua and yellow background and I used it with bright pink cardstock to really make it stand out.  It's straightforward, I just covered a piece of white cardstock with the frame portion of the tape.  To get a smooth finish, I used a bone folder, running it over the taped portion and getting all the wrinkles out.

With the Floral Elements stamps and dies, I embossed some of the flower images in white on the pink cardstock, then die cut them.  I did 6 total (2 each of 3 different sprays), then arranged them in the lower right and top left corners of my frame.

To finish the card, I stamped and embossed 'you are lovely,' which can be found in the Eucalyptus Fantasy stamp set.  I used a Fancy Label Frame die to cut out the pink stock, then centered it in the frame, attaching it with 3-D foam dots, lifting it off the page.  It may be simple, but you add crisp details like the white embossing, and great designs, the results are striking.

My next card follows the same basic setup but the results are much different.  Opting for the coral and peach frame, I decided to cut it out after adhering it to white cardstock.  There isn't a die for that, but the straight lines make it easy to trim.  To decorate the frame, I die cut several more floral elements out of watercolor paper and embossed them in gold.  This time I colored them in with a mixture of Pinkfresh watercolors, choosing soft hues that match the shades in the frame.

Before arranging the florals and my die cut 'Beautiful' sentiment, I used pop up dots again to adhere the frame to a strawberry colored paper panel.  (You can also see the Stitched Rectangle border on that.)  The pink panel is layered on a peach card base.  This card is quite a bit fancier than the first one--it's all those gold elements!  You can see that the Adorable Frames washi can be dressed up super-fancy like the 'Beautiful' card, or done kind of casually, like with the first card.  It's your choice!

Thanks for stopping by today!  You're on to the lovely Natasha's blog next--I always love to see what she creates!  If you get lost, you can always circle back to the Pinkfresh Studio blog where they've got the entire list of hop participants.  Before you go, here's a little more info on those prizes and shop specials...
