Hey there! I've been making a TON of cards lately (which is great because I really, really need them), but I feel like I'm neglecting the tags and gift wrap. Not to worry, I've got some stuff on the horizon that's all about them, and today, I have these adorable shaker tags for
The Stamp Market. I wanted to share another fun way to use the larger
Vintage Slides die. I'll admit that my very first thought upon seeing this was, "Oo! That would make a fun tag!" I know, that's not what it's meant for, but I love when a product has multiple uses, don't you?
I cut out a trio of slides and before I folded them, I stamped the
Jumbo Criss Cross Background stamp on them for a subtle pattern. There's also a peek of some Color Crush
Patterned Paper scraps through the window of each tag.
The windows present a great opportunity to create a shaker, but because I love using fabric on my projects, I used tulle instead of a clear acetate sheet to contain the sequins.
After adhering the slide closed, I added a few details to the outside. I die cut '
Hi' from gold glitter paper and made some cute and colorful flowers with solid Color Crush
papers and the
Small Blooms dies.
Some ribbons and trim offer a bit more texture and provide a way to attach the tags to a package.
Next time you need a quick tag for a package, consider using the
Vintage Slide and making a shaker with it!
SO CUTE!! Love that you made Tags out of the slide die!
