Ink to Paper :: January 2020 Release :: Day 3

Hooray, hooray!  It's Day 3 of Ink to Paper January release introductions and we're continuing with fun birthday products, because can we really have too many of those?!

First up is a card that features the On the Border: Sunburst Frame die, paired with Just Sentiments: Belated Birthday stamps and some die cut flowers from Sweet Celebrations; all are new items this month.

I cut out a ton of the Sweet Celebrations little flowers from colorwashed papers that I created with Dark Indigo and Pale Peony ink refills.  To get the different variations in color, add more water for a lighter finish and use less for something more saturated.  The sunburst frame is cut from Raspberry Fizz cardstock and adhered to an Enchanted Evening card base.

I stamped the inner circle with stamps from Balloon Wishes, embossing them in white.

After arranging the flowers around the card, I stamped 'I'm a little late' on a small white banner die cut.  This mini stamp set is so necessary since I'm usually known to be a late card sender!

Up next, I'm focusing on the Sweet Celebrations stamps and dies.  SC is mainly a nice set of dies that include the makings for a cupcake, candles, some small florals, and even a cute strawberry and leaves.  (I can't wait to use those!)  The mini stamp set offers some sentiments and a couple of images to accompany the dies.

I cut the cupcake pieces from Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet Bitty Big patterned papers, but stamped and colored the candle with blending pens and ink.  I cut a sunburst border to mimic the glow of candle light, and underneath it, there's an extra little bit of dazzle from the Sweet Celebrations mini set.

I brushed some Bright Buttercup ink onto white cardstock with a blending brush for the pale yellow background and framed the panel with the Border Bling: Skinny Embossed Frame.  The small slim tag from the Modern Gift die collection is one that I use frequently as an accent; it's perfect for adding small sentiments like 'it's your day.'
