Papertrey Ink :: Throwback Thursday :: Fresh Floral Wrap Ups

Bouquets of flowers never go out of style, whether you're giving them, receiving them or using them on greeting cards.  I fell in love with Fresh Floral Wrap Ups when it first came out and I still think it's a fun set to use.  I mixed it with bright colors and a couple of new Ink to Paper offerings for a graphically inspired card in today's Throwback Thursday post at Papertrey Ink.

After stamping and die cutting the polka dotted paper wrappings in Orange Zest, I chose Hawaiian Shores and Green Parakeet for the overhanging floral pieces.  I added small bow die cuts to each wrap; they can be found in the Celebrating You set.

With the tiny tag die from the floral set, I stamped 'thanks' to use as my sentiment for the card; it's very small, but fits so well tucked under the flowers in the center bouquet that it stands out well enough to be seen.

Along with the polka dots, I thought it might be fun to have another pattern instead of a plain background so I used Ink to Paper's Loosely Woven background stamp in True Black, which contrasts nicely with the brighter colors found on the wraps themselves.

I've been using a lot of softer hues lately so it was time to change things up a bit here.  I hope you found some inspiration in these stamps from a few years ago; if you have this set, maybe you'll get it out and give it some love.  The good news is that's it's in stock at Papertrey Ink right now (and so are the dies!) so you can grab it if you don't have it!  Have a wonderful Thursday, friends!
