Ink to Paper :: September Release :: Day Four

We are here!  It's the day before the Ink to Paper September release and the final day of projects.  I think you'll like what we've got today--I know I do!

Too mini sets are up first: Watercolor Textures: Christmas and Inside Greetings: Holiday Magic.  I'm the designer behind the Inside Greetings series and they have been a lot of fun to come up with.  I hope you're finding them useful, too!  For this set, I tried to capture the true spirit and magic of the Christmas season.  I feel like it really is a time when wonderful things happen and may we never forget that!

I made up a trio of Tag Creations: Modern Gift card holders, one for each sentiment in the set.  You don't have to save them for only the inside of your cards, especially when they fit so perfectly on the front of the gift card holders!

I used a few of the images in the Christmas watercolor set that I thought went well with each message.  There are 3 different-sized stars in the set, which went well with the quote about wishing upon a star.  I chose a colorful scheme of Pure Poppy, Limeade Ice, and Hawaiian Shores, stamping the stars around my message.  As a finishing touch, I die cut a few tiny stars from one of today's other sets, Peaceful Forest, and colored them with Pale Peony ink and a blending brush.  I used watercolor paper for all of these gift card holders so I could do a little color blending.

Next up is the 'merry and bright' quote.  It's a whimsical little rhyming verse that I made up and the cute snowflake/tree ornament images (depending on which one suits you!) stamped in bright colors are just right for the lyric.  They're fun, too, and after stamping them, I used blending pens and coordinating inks to shade them in.

The final card features a sweet sentiment about spreading cheer and peace and making memories.  I love this sentiment so much, as it invokes everything I hope for my own friends and family this year.  I surrounded it with some Limeade Ice evergreens and cut out some darling bows found in the Cheerful Tree set with which to adorn them.

These cute cards are super easy and quick to make, and they really make gift-giving effortless.  You could whip up a bunch of them in a short amount of time, but look like you spent hours on them!  I'll be looking forward to giving these out at Christmas, and I'll probably make a whole lot more before the season is over!

Supplies:
Stamps: Watercolor Textures: Christmas, Inside Greetings: Holiday Magic, Cheerful Tree
Ink: Pure Poppy, Pale Peony, Limeade Ice, Hawaiian Shores, True Black
Paper: watercolor

Our very last sets to debut are a stamp and die collection called Peaceful Forest and the Border Dies: Splendid Snowflakes.  These are two sets you can do a lot with, and don't forget to pair the border dies with the regular Splendid Snowflakes stamps and dies!

This last card might just be my favorite of all for this release.  I cut the snowflake border out of kraft cardstock and adhered it over a panel of watercolored paper.  I used Sweet Blush re-inker again; when I made the first one earlier in the release, I actually made a few just in case I messed up!  I'm glad that I did because I love this soft pink with the kraft.

I stamped the snowfall at the top of the panel and embossed it in silver, then stamped 'all is calm, all if bright' in the center in True Black.

I die cut some of the cute trees from Peaceful Forest out of white cardstock and Silver Luxe paper, then arranged them along the sides of my message.  All these soft colors together are a palette I'll definitely use again!

Stamps: Peaceful Forest
