Ink to Paper :: Saturday Showcase :: Halloween Party Monsters

Halloween will be so much fun this year, thanks to the Monster dies from Ink to Paper!  My kids and I created some super-silly tags for candy bars with the Monster and Tagged & Labeled dies.  It was a great family project and the sillier the faces got, the more the kids enjoyed making them!  Just grab the dies, your favorite Halloween cardstock colors, and some glue, then let the antics begin.

I cut out several of the Monster die elements in different cardstock colors, planning to use the large oval as the face.  I decorated a couple to get the kids started and then let them make some.  The outcome was really creative and there was quite a bit of giggling (with some unsuccessful attempts at candy-snatching!).

After the faces of the monsters were complete, I cut out a bunch of small word bubbles in white and stamped "Eek!" and "Ahhh!" on them in True Black.  The small size of the dies worked great with the little monsters.

Finally, we adhered each face to the smaller label from Tagged & Labeled and attached the label to the candy with black and white twine.  I used a bit of double-stick tape on the back of the label just to keep it in place.

These Halloween Party Monsters were a hit with my kids and I bet they'll be a hit with yours, too!  But if this sort of thing isn't your kind of Halloween project, some of the other Ink to Paper team members had some other terrific ideas, so head to the blog to see what they made.

I'm so glad you stopped by today!  I've got a full week of projects next week, so I hope you'll come back :)
