Pinkfresh Studio Essentials 3 Release Blog Hop

It's blog hop time again!  This time it's for a Pinkfresh Studio Essentials release and these dies truly are essential!  As with all PF hops, you've got an opportunity to win them all (or win a gift card to buy a few!).  I'll have the details at the end of my post, but know that if you get lost or are looking for more information, you can always head back to the Pinkfresh blog for help.  If you've come from the incomparable Julie Ebersole's blog, hello!  (She's so amazing!)  You'll be heading to lovely Yasmin Diaz's page next--I can't wait to see what she's sharing!

I'm super-duper excited about these sweet Fillable Tag with Pocket dies.  The size of the tag is perfect for just about anything, and the little pocket addition to it is such a cute detail.  You can add die cut details to the pockets (or tags), too, even a little window so you can see through to the tag.  There are so many great possibilities with this die set, and today I'm focusing on using them with patterned paper and embellishments.

I'm down to just scraps left of my Home for the Holidays 6x6 patterned paper pad, but luckily, that was all I needed to create the tags and pockets.  I chose lots of different papers--I found that the smaller overall designs worked best, and the subtly-detailed papers went the best with the intricate cut-outs of the filler dies.  It was difficult to notice them with a busier design.

I love to mix and match the papers so it was especially fun choosing the combinations for this set of 9!

The dies also come with 2 hole reinforcement dies--one is a simple circle and the other folds over to protect the front and back of the hole.  I used that die on all of my tags in contrasting colors, then looped some white or red twine through it.

For the pockets on which I used the little window, I tried to pair them with tag papers that had a festive image I could line up and center in the window.  If a paper didn't have that option, I chose an embellishment to peek through instead.

Every pocket has some kind of embellishment attached to it--you just want to be aware where you place the adhesive if you want to be able to slide the tag out of the pocket.  The pocket has tiny wings that you can fold over and either attach to the back of the tag or attach to another pocket.  They are very tiny, so a little patience and good adhesive is required :) (I used 1/8" Super-Sticky tape.)

I'll never pass up the opportunity to make a few more Christmas tags and I'm so excited Pinkfresh has this tag size in their collection now--it's so perfect for gifting any sized package!

Before you head on to Yasmin's, here are a few important details for you:
