all better
i didn't mean to be away so long, but i caught Mr. Bagubian's cold. not the world's worst cold, by any means, but since i'm pregnant, there isn't much in the way of medicine i can take to deal with it. basically i could have Tylenol and allergy medication--neither of which did a thing. the worst part was a throbbing 2-day headache that would NOT go away.
i'm better now, except for a new headache that won't go away. i have so many projects i still need to get photographed and hopefully i'll be able to finally get to those in the next couple of days. in the meantime, i have a couple of cards to share.
this first one, "just be you," features patterned papers from My Mind's Eye and Crate Paper. the yellow and gray hexagons is MME Be Amazing and the navy and red floral is from Story Teller by CP. the small scraps in front are also MME. i finished it up with washi tape, a doily, some red baker's twine, buttons, and stickers.
this is a card i made using a bunch of scraps and ephemera. i really wanted a clustered, collaged look for this one and i just kept pulling scraps out of my pile and layering them until i had that sort of look.
the focal point of the card--the map tag with the stamped sentiment--is another piece from the CP Story Teller collection. i used a few different washi tapes, a library card, a wood button, and a Cavallini mail sticker.
my favorite part of this card is the little swatch of "Paris" washi. i don't know why, but there's just something about it. if you're interested, i got it from Pretty Tape.
i have some homework to finish up so i had better get back to it. i hope to be back in a day or two with some brand new projects!
