Pinkfresh Studio :: November Challenge
Hello again! (Are you sick of me blogging so much?!) I'm here today for my take on the November Pinkfresh Studio Challenge. You can play along for a chance to win some great prizes. Be sure to stop by the their blog so you can get all the details, link up your project, and see all of the amazing inspiration the participating Design Team members have to share!
Maybe you'll even be inspired by my card...I kept it simple with just a few elements, and stayed as close to the color scheme as possible, but that wasn't too difficult, as these colors are prevalent in Indigo Hills 2 and it hasn't been hard at all to work with that collection!
I used Gorge as a neutral background and layered some chipboard and die cut elements over it. The watercolored oval frame was my starting point and top-most layer. It was a last-minute decision to layer everything underneath it. As I was creating the card, I'd laid everything out on top of it. It was only at the end, right before the final step of adhering all the pieces, that I changed my mind and brought it to the forefront, deciding I didn't really want to bury and cover the navy floral elements.
Underneath the frame you'll find a small purple chipboard piece framing the "you are awesome" sticker. I pulled in a little more mint green with a puffy branch sticker.
Finally, I brought in the gold foil with some leaf stems and hearts from the Simple & Sweet collection. They are the gold foil puffy stickers and work seamlessly with the Indigo Hills 2 collection.
Well, I hope you decide to play along this month! It's always fun to have some inspiration when it comes to papercrafting. Have fun!
