Ink to Paper :: June 2020 Release :: Day Two

We are celebrating Day 2 of the Ink to Paper June release introductions and it's full of things like pretty layered florals and hugs!  I'm sure we can all use those things right about now.

My first card might just be my most favorite one I've made for this release.  I used the gorgeous Flourishing Florals set, with the flowers in pink and the leaves in shades of green.  I heat embossed the centers of each flower with black embossing powder for a bold finish.  Before arranging the florals and leaves on the card panel, I stamped polka dots randomly around the background.  You can use any tiny circle for this; I used one from Beautiful Bouquet because that set was handy and I liked the size of the dot.  The dots, as well, are heat embossed.

There is a new Just Sentiments mini stamp set; this one is all about hugs, and I've created my sentiment from that set, embossing it in white this time, on Limeade Ice cardstock.  I love the way the whole card turned out!

Supplies:
Stamps: Flourishing Florals, Just Sentiments: Hugs, Beautiful Bouquet
Ink: Raspberry Fizz, Sweet Blush, Simply Chartreuse, Limeade Ice, VersaMark Watermark
Paper: Limeade Ice, White
Dies: Flourishing Florals
Other: white & black embossing powder

You'll find Flourishing Florals on my second card of the day, too.  I chose a completely different color scheme, this time going for a cool palette of Winter Wisteria, Aqua Mist, and Saffron Spice.  I chose one of the other flowers from the set and stamped a pretty background panel.  Actually, I stamped two panels.  One I've used as the actual background for the card front, and the other was used to cut out my sentiment.

The sentiment is a new To Die For piece, called Long Distance Hug.  As I said, I cut it out of the stamped panel to dress it up a little, then layered it over a gold glitter die cut for extra depth.  Past Love to Layer dies are always good to keep handy; I've incorporated the Notched dies here, choosing the largest one for the stamped background piece, a mid-size Lilac Grace cut on which I've adhere my sentiment, and used the smallest piece for my message on the inside of the card.

Speaking of the card interior, there is also a new Inside Greetings set this month called Sending Hugs.  I chose one of the sentiments to include on the inside of my card.  I trimmed a Skinny Diagonal frame from the stamped panel from which I cut the long distance hug sentiment, just for something a little extra.

Supplies:
Stamps: Inside Greetings: Sending Hugs, Flourishing Florals
Ink: Winter Wisteria, Aqua Mist, Saffron Spice
Paper: Lilac Grace, White cardstock; gold glitter paper
Dies: To Die For Sentiment: Long Distance Hug, Border Bling: Skinny Diagonal Frames, Love To Layer: Notched
Other: sequins
