Ink to Paper :: May 2021 Release :: Day One

Welcome to Day One of the Ink to Paper / Papertrey Ink product release for May!  I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day.  We're celebrating summer over at PTI this week and we're happy that you're joining us!

Kicking things off is the super-cute Message In a Bottle stamp and die collection.  It's got a little scroll that fits within the oval opening on the front of the bottle.  It can attach to the cork at the top, and be pulled out--while I haven't used it in that way here, but I adore the idea and can't wait to put it to use on a future project.  I used it with the flower dies that it comes with, though, and decorated the bottle using the accompanying stamps.

I did use the scroll for my message, but it's outside the bottle instead of in it.  You'll love how multi-purpose this is!

On the inside of my card is a message from the new Inside Greetings: Summer, along with some extra flower die cuts.  The oval that is cut out of the center of the bottle is perfect for sentiments!

Supplies:
Stamps: Message In a Bottle, Inside Greetings: Summer, Rustic Brick
Ink: Bright Buttercup, Berry Sorbet, Pale Peony, Sweet Blush, Classic Kraft, Watermark
Paper: Berry Sorbet, Bright Buttercup, Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, New Leaf, Vintage Jadeite, Mint Julep, Classic Kraft, Stamper's Select White, pale pink textured stock
Dies: Message In a Bottle

I couldn't resist using the bottle again for my second card, which features the new Summer Shells dies.  How many of us have collected shells from the beach and put them in a bottle or jar as a beachy decoration?  I trimmed off the half of the bottle die cut with the oval cut-out, only using the solid bottle image.

The shells have been lightly inked up with a blending brush and some soft-colored inks--Pale Peony, Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, and Classic Kraft--and then arranged as though they filled the bottle.

The backdrop is an ink and brush-blended panel--with Dark Indigo ink this time--to mimic the water.  Again on this card, the oval-shaped cut-out from the front of the bottle provided the perfect setting for my Just Sentiments: Summer message.

Supplies:
Stamps: Just Sentiments: Summer, Message In a Bottle
Ink: Pale Peony, Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, Classic Kraft, Dark Indigo, Ocean Tides, Stormy Sea, Soft Stone, True Black
Paper: Aqua Mist, Classic Kraft, Stamper's Select White
Dies: Summer Shells, Message In a Bottle, Border Bling: Skinny Diagonals Frame
Other: blending brush

Thank you for tuning in on this Tuesday in May--I'll be here for the next 3 days, as well, with the release on the 15th.  Be sure to check out the Ink to Paper/Papertrey blog today for all the product details and lots of amazing inspiration by my fellow Design Team members.  Hope your week is off to a great start so far!

  1. Seashells inside the bottle, love it! I'm enjoying seeing so many ways to use the message in a bottle set.
