Ink to Paper :: March 2021 Release :: Day One

Hey there, friends!  I know--we're on the 16th of the month again and we're just rolling out the product introductions today for the Ink to Paper release--again!  Oh, well--these things happen, don't they?  The products will make their debut in the Ink to Paper shop on the evening of the 20th at 10pm EST.  Better mark your calendars, just in case you forget!

Let's get to the pretties now!  To kick off this month, we're starting with Flying By and Love to Layer: Torn Edges.  I love both of these sets, and am especially glad to have some new Love to Layer dies for the backgrounds of cards.  They do just what they intend--give you some layering pieces, and if you cut them out just right, you've got yourself some cool frames, too!

The butterfly from Flying By is gorgeous, and comes with several stamps to fill in the wings in a detailed and colorful pattern, but I could resist heat embossing the line art with gold powder and water-coloring instead, just for a little something I haven't done in a long time.  The background of the white card has been inked with a blending brush and Berry Sorbet ink, and then stamped with the large dotted pattern from another of today's sets--Prominent Petals.

Supplies:
Stamps: Flying By, Prominent Petals
Ink: Berry Sorbet, Versamark Watermark
Paper: Dark Indigo, Stamper's Select White
Dies: Flying By, Love to Layer: Torn Edges
Other: gold embossing powder, blending brush

That's a good segue onto my next card, the flowers of which are Prominent Petals.  I stamped mine in yellow and blue hues, with some chartreuse leaves.  Also included with the floral stamps are the dot clusters, which you can use to add some creative details to your petals or to make fun backgrounds, as I did on my previous card.

There's a new Border Bling frame this month, and it's this pretty, very delicate floral design.  It's really intricate, so you'll probably want to use a shim if you're cutting it out of thicker cardstock, and give it a couple of passes through your die cutting machine.  It comes with the 'just for you' word dies, as well.

Supplies:
Stamps: Prominent Petals
Ink: Tropical Teal, Hawaiian Shores, Bright Buttercup, Harvest Gold, Simply Chartreuse, Canyon Clay
Paper: Canyon Clay, Ripe Avocado, Stamper's Select White
Dies: Prominent Petals, Border Bling: Dainty Deliveries Frame
Other: blending brush

Thank you for tuning in a bit late again this month--I'll be here for the next 3 days, as well, with the release on the 20th.  Be sure to check out the Ink to Paper/Papertrey blog today for all the product details and lots of amazing inspiration by my fellow Design Team members.  Hope your week is off to a great start so far!
