Ink to Paper :: August 2020 Release :: Day Two

Hello friends!  Welcome to Day Two of the Ink to Paper August 2020 Release product introductions!  I've got lots to show you today so let's get right to it!

There's a pretty new set for autumn on deck today, called Framing Fall, and it's fun to color in the small details or just leave it stamped, as is.  You can also pick up the accompanying stamp set called Framing Fall: Sentiments if you're in the mood--they're the perfect accompaniment to the set!

I've embossed the stamped images in white and then watercolored the details with some of my ink refills.  Hawaiian Shores, Canyon Clay, and Pale Peony were all used here.  For more saturated colors, mix only a couple drops of water with the refill liquid; for lighter colors, use more water.

The Sentiments stamp and die were used for the "Blessed" message, and I opted to go with a bold Pure Poppy background to contrast the lighter white embossed images.

Supplies:
Stamps: Framing Fall, Framing Fall: Sentiments
Ink: Watermark
Paper: Pure Poppy, Sweet Blush, Watercolor
Dies: Framing Fall, Framing Fall: Sentiments
Other: Hawaiian Shores, Canyon Clay & Pale Peony ink refills, white embossing powder

I'm very excited for this next introduction as one of the items is my new Border Bling Frame, Grateful Vines.  We're pairing it up today with the Feathered Friends 3 Bird die set, and together, they make such a sweet duo!

If you want to use the die to cut out a frame, use it with the Border Bling Basic Frame die, and while you're at it, cut out another basic frame in a contrasting solid color to make the vine inlays really pop!  Trimmings of the Grateful Vines cut outs can be used to decorate the Autumn Rose banner.  The 'grateful' word die comes with the Grateful Vines frame.

When searching for color pairings, try this variation of the primary color scheme (red, yellow, and blue).  I've used more complex shades of pinks, blues, and yellow like Autumn Rose, Sweet Blush, Saffron Spice, Enchanted Evening, Spring Rain, and Blueberry Sky.  My bird was created with the shades of blue, and I love the way it stands out against the rest of the card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet: Sentiments
Ink: True Black
Paper: Saffron Spice, Autumn Rose, Enchanted Evening, Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, True Black, White, Watercolor
Dies: Feathered Friends 3, Border Bling: Grateful Vines, Border Bling: Basic Frame, Pleasing Envelopes: Special Delivery
Other: Sweet Blush ink refill

The Grateful Vines die can also be used without the Border Bling Basic Frame; here it is without, which keeps the middle intact.  I colorwashed the background with the Dark Indigo ink refill for a softer background. For dimension, the pale blue panel was adhered to the card base with 3-D foam tape; the edges are not adhered so they curl up just a bit.

The straw basket from Hello Pumpkin makes the perfect nest for Feathered Friends!  My little pink and peach birdie sits in her spot feeling grateful!

Supplies:
Stamps: Hello Pumpkin
Ink: Dark Chocolate
Paper: Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, True Black, White, Watercolor
Dies: Feathered Friends 3, Border Bling: Grateful Vines, Hello Pumpkin
Other: Sweet Blush & Dark Indigo ink refills, pink twine

For my final card, I've used the die cut branches from the Grateful Vines by themselves to create a pretty card background.  I'm smitten with the white on Mint Julep color pairing!  A simple message stamped in-between the branches serves the duel purpose of being part of the sentiment and the background design.

This time my bird is assembled from bits of watercolored papers, and I had a little fun trying out some new colors by mixing the ink refills like watercolors to achieve the color variations.  The base of the bird, for instance, is a couple drops of Melon Berry and a couple drops of Berry Sorbet.

Supplies:
Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet, Just Sentiments: Tagged
Ink: Watermark
Paper: Mint Julep, True Black, White, Watercolor
Dies: Feathered Friends 3, Border Bling: Grateful Vines, Banner Builder: Basics
Other: Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise ink refills, gold & white embossing powders, confetti sequins
