Ink to Paper :: August 2020 Release :: Day Four
It's the last day of Ink to Paper's August release introductions--that means the big day for the items to be available in the shop is tomorrow! We have some really cool things to tell you about today, so let's have a look...
First up is the very, very awesome Shutter It stamp and die collection. The dies are innovative and interactive--they create a window scene and the little shutters can actually slide open and closed! How cute is that?! Once you get the hang of assembling the shutters, it's fairly easy to do and there's a comprehensive instruction sheet that will be available to you.
You can create a window in your wall of shutters, as I did here, choosing one of the sweet sentiments from the stamp set to include. There is a little potted plant included with the set, and I mixed that with some of the cute pots and plants from last month's Growth collection. In fact, greens from that set also adorn the shutters and awning.
It makes for such an adorable and unique card! Also, you can create a scene for a horizontal and a vertical card with the dies. Here's what it looks like when the shutters are closed...
Supplies:
Stamps: Shutter It, Growth
Ink: Enchanted Evening, Spring Moss, Melon Berry
Paper: Enchanted Evening, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Honey Nut, Sweet Blush, White
Dies: Shutter It, Growth, Border Bling: Skinny Stitched Frame
Our last products for August are a new In Stitches die: Acorn, and a Grateful-themed Inside Greetings. The In Stitches dies are so cute with felt if you love to stitch, but if that's not your thing, you can still use them with paper without stitching on them, as I've done here to create a couple of pretty autumn tags. The stitching holes make a nice border, actually, and the Grateful Inside Greetings fit perfectly on the nut of the acorn!
I made the acorns from Honey Nut and Sweet Blush card stocks and Bitty Big patterned papers--it's that time of year when Honey Nut becomes one of my favorite go-to colors!
I adorned each acorn with a handful of leaves from last year's Lovely Leaves collection, which is another of my this-time-of-year faves!
The 'grateful' word die from Day Two's Grateful Vines set makes a pretty ornament in glitter card stock. The final touch is a couple of strands of pretty ribbon. These were very easy to make; you can even do something similar if you're feeling felty and/or stitchy!
Supplies:
Stamps: Inside Greetings: Grateful, Lovely Leaves
Ink: Honey Nut, Pale Peony, Aqua Mist, Pinefeather, Watermark
Paper: Honey Nut, Sweet Blush card stock & Bitty Big patterned paper, white, gold glitter card stock
Dies: In Stitches: Acorn, Border Bling: Grateful Vines, Lovely Leaves
Other: Ocean Tides grosgrain ribbon, burgundy glitter ribbon, white embossing powder
That's a wrap on August! I hope you saw something that you loved this month--and be sure to check out the ITP blog for all sorts of lovely inspiration! Happy shopping--tomorrow at 10pm EST!
