Ink to Paper :: August 2020 Release :: Day One

Hi all!  It's the start of product introductions for August over at Ink to Paper and it's around this time of year when it starts to get really fun because we start preparing for the holidays!

This month will see some autumn and Halloween products, like this cute set--Hello Pumpkin.  It's paired with a Border Bling die set called Leaves, and a new Inside Greetings for Halloween.  I love autumn colors, so I was excited to create this first card with my favorites--Melon Berry, Honey Nut, Ocean Tides, and Pinefeather.  I love the two-step stamp images and always do the outline with the full color ink, while the fill is the same ink color stamped off once for the lighter variation.  It's a perfect match every time!

I cut the leaf frame from Melon Berry card stock and filled in some leaves with Ocean Tides, leaving a few of the spaces open.  Kraft paper is a great backdrop for fall projects, and it's a great neutral for this card.  Plus, the white embossed sentiment shows up so nicely against it.

I used the smaller Leaves frame on the inside, along with a Halloween greeting and a a trio of pretty pumpkins.

Supplies:
Stamp: Hello Pumpkin, Inside Greetings: Halloween
Ink: Melon Berry, Pinefeather, Honey Nut, Ocean Tides, Dark Chocolate, Watermark
Paper: Melon Berry, Ocean Tides, Classic Kraft, White
Dies: Hello Pumpkin, Border Bling: Leaves
Other: white embossing powder

Second up are some cute little kitties in the Scaredy Cat stamp and die collection.  They're being paired with the new Hay Bales dies, and a new Halloween-themed Just Sentiments.  I've paired all of those goodies with Hello Pumpkin for a fun and colorful card celebrating the 31st of October.

The stamped cat sits atop hay bales cut from Saffron Spice and Harvest Gold card stocks, with a couple of orange pumpkins in front of them.  I wanted a dark background and opted for Smokey Shadow, which it turns out I love with the Saffron!

I stamped and embossed a few stars in the background, and added a little 'boo!' message from the kitty, too.  The main sentiment is from the mini set JS: Halloween and is a perfect fit atop a stitched-edged banner.

Supplies:
Stamps: Scaredy Cat, Just Sentiments: Halloween, Hello Pumpkin
Ink: Canyon Clay, Spring Moss, Dark Chocolate, True Black, Watermark
Paper: Smokey Shadow, Saffron Spice, Harvest Gold, White
Dies: Scaredy Cat, Hay Bales, Hello Pumpkin, Banner Builder: Basics
Other: white embossing powder

The holidays might look a little different this year, as many of us continue to practice safe social distancing, but that's all the more reason to make and send lots of cards!  You can grab any and all of these products on the 15th at 10pm in the Ink to Paper shop.  As always, the blog today is full of lots of inspiration, so head there next if you haven't stopped by yet.  I'm so thankful you've spent a little part of your day with me!  I hope you'll come back again tomorrow :)
