Congratulations to the winners of the stamp sets:
Karen: I just put those stamps sets on my "wish list." I already own the die and these gorgeous cards were a confirmation that I need those sentiments as well! I love to give card sets as gifts so this was just the inspiration I need to get going on them. Thanks for sharing, and a chance to win!

Happy World Card Making Day!  If you're looking for the Pinkfresh Studio Blog Hop post, you can find it HERE at 8:00PST!

Whew!  It's a busy day today, yeah?  And it's all so very exciting!  I know you've probably got a lot of places to go today so I'll jump right in.  If you've come from my Packaging Ambassador post at the  Papertrey Ink blog, then you have a good idea of what this entry is going to be about.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, visit their blog HERE to see the details for card packaging.  I mainly covered the packaging over there and I'll be discussing the cards in a bit more detail here.  I also have a little giveaway so be sure to read on about that!

I shared these packages on the PTI blog using the Frame It Out: Many Blessings die with paper bags.  You can't have card packaging without some cards to put in them, though, can you?  So let's have a closer look at them here!

They mainly follow the same sketch and are fairly easy to assemble.  A colored card stock base in size A2 (5 1/2" x 4 1/4"), (mostly) matted with white stock, from which another frame was cut and a simple sentiment was added.  I designed the frame to accommodate all matter of sentiments; it's 4" x 3 1/8" so you can fit 1 or 2 large typographic word phrases or multi-word messages in a smaller font within it.  Use it vertically or horizontally, and anywhere on your composition.

I used sentiments from the coordinating Frame It Out: Many Blessings and You Made My Day stamp sets.  I've been eager to play with all of these products so this was a good time to use them!

Being October now, I chose autumn-toned colors like Dark Indigo, So Saffron, Honey Nut, Tropical Teal, Melon Berry, and Ripe Avocado.  The darker colors make the white really stand out!

I have a set of 4 cards featuring Ripe Avocado and Taken With Teal, mostly catering to thank you and appreciative sentiments.  'How lovely of you' is one of my favorite sentiments from You Made My Day, and I used it twice in this set.  'With gratitude' is another way of saying thank you, but it's design is long and slender; I thought it might be nice to create a mix of ways to say thank you that will be useful for all types of projects, depending on whether you have lots of wide space, a generous amount of long space, or a block of space!

'For you' comes from the Many Blessings set and the words are separate stamps so they will fit in the frame in whichever layout you'd like to use it.

I added the white petals and stems which are the negative trimmings from the die cut frame.  As I mentioned in my PTI post, I'm absolutely loving the dry embossed look of them, but they were time-consuming to attach to the cards!  I spent the better part of a day adhering those little buggers to the cards and tags I made for these projects.  I do believe it was worth it, though.  If you'd like to do the same, I was aided by a Sakura Quickie Glue pen and tweezers to get the job done!

Next is a simple trio of Thank You cards--and they do directly say 'thank you!'  One thing I love about You Made My Day is that some of the fonts are gorgeous scripts when you're aiming for elegance or sophistication, and some of the typography is more casual and modern.  Again, it's a set that covers an array of situations.

Honey Nut, Dark Indigo, Melon Berry, and So Saffron are gorgeous together, don't you agree?  They really are so perfect for autumn.  These cards are super-simple to make and you can churn out several of them in a short amount of time.  (They would be great for wedding or shower thank you notes!)  Like 'for you,' 'thank' and 'you' are separate stamps to be used in whatever kind of space you have on your project.

Speaking of weddings, up next is a wedding card created with the Frame It Out die and matching stamp set.  The elegant script of Congratulations looks just right heat embossed in gold and sitting in the center of the petal frame.  'On your wedding' sits just under it, slightly right-aligned.  I stamped the words with Watermark ink and used Ranger Fine Gold embossing powder, which I have to say, is a top-notch product!  It was my first time using it, even though I bought it months ago, and I'm obsessed now!

I added only a couple of petal details to this card, and I used PTI's Linen Vellum instead of white card stock.  The white was too bright (I never thought I'd say that about white card stock!), but this vellum, which is thicker and less opaque than basic vellum, provided just the subtle pop of light this card needed.

My last card for the day is a smaller one, measuring 4 3/4" x 3 1/2," and uses that same Linen Vellum against a Melon Berry card base.  It's a cute little thank you note with a gold embossed sentiment from You Made My Day--it's a lot less fancy than most of the others I showcased today, because sometimes you just need something fun!

All right, I've kept you long enough!  How about that giveaway?  TWO lucky winners will each receive (1) You Made My Day and (1) Frame It Out: Many Blessings stamp sets!  If you'd be so kind as to leave me a comment here on this post, you'll be entered to win!

Fine print: Contest closes Monday, October 8th, at 11:59pm PST.  Winners will be selected at random and announced on Wednesday, October 10th at the top of THIS post.  You must check back here to see if you are a winner; prizes not claimed by Wednesday, October 17th, go to the next person.  Open to all.  This is my personal giveaway and is not endorsed by Papertrey Ink.  If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them!

Thank you so much for visiting me on this busy day!  Enjoy the rest of your WCMD 2018!

  27. This is the first time in many years that I have studied deeply a stamping post. I studied your post on PTI and again here. I love your use of the negative pieces left from the die cut. I thought that you had used and embossing folder. Receiving a card like these would be very special. Thank you for sharing your idea. Hugs and smiles, Reva Brightman

  28. Love these cards and love how elegant this stamp and die set is! I especially love the script that you used for the word "gratitude."

  29. I'm happy to see you creating with your stamps and dies. The product designer usually has something particular in mind when she designs the stamps and/or dies, which comes forth in their use. I appreciate that the cards are easy to make when you leave out the fiddly bits, yet they pack a big punch. And I love the layered tags; those tiny die cuts add so much. Thank you for the chance to win the stamp sets. The phrases in FIO: Many Blessings are especially wonderful.
