Pinkfresh Studio Share Cheer Campaign & Card Drive

Happy World Cardmaking Day! This is my second post of the day, so if you're looking for the Papertrey Ink post, it was posted before this one and can be found HERE!

THIS post is part of the Pinkfresh Studio Share Cheer Campaign & Card Drive Blog Hop.  You may have arrived from lovely Natalia's blog, but if you came by accident, welcome!  I've provided a lot of the hop details in my post, but I don't have the full list of participants; you can find that on the Pinkfresh Studio blog.

This blog hop is all about Share Cheer, which is a brand new stamp and die set from Pinkfresh Studio, available for purchase now.  When you buy this stamp set, 100% of the net profits will benefit UNICEF.  Pinkfresh chose this organization because they help children and operate in more countries than any other humanitarian organization.  UNICEF works in 190 countries and territories, and in the world's toughest places to reach the children and young people in greatest need.  You can learn more about what they do HERE.

The second part of the Share Cheer campaign is a Holiday Card Drive benefitting The Holiday Project, which is local to Pinkfresh Studio Headquarters in Houston, TX.  We would love for you to send a holiday themed card(s) to PS, and they will personally deliver each card they receive to The Holiday Project!  They need approximately 3000 cards this holiday season, so let's put our best foot forward together and make a dent in that number!  Share your card drive projects with PS through the link list at the bottom of the Pinkfresh Studio blog post, and then physically send them to:

Two awesome causes, right?   I love it so much that I made 2 cards and they will both be heading to Houston to be donated.   And, with that, shall I tell you about the cards I made?

My first card is a little throw-back to one of my favorite cards I ever made with Pinkfresh stamps.  I loved it so much, I created another version of it a few months later, and now I put a holiday spin on it with the Share Cheer stamp and die.

I used a navy base and heat embossed 'season of kindness' in gold on the bottom right corner.  I then stamped and embossed the large Christmas imagery stamp, adding the bow at the top, on watercolor paper, which was off-white.  After cutting it out with the die, I set it aside for a moment to assemble the pieces that are underneath it.

I chose a length of mint seam binding and a couple pieces of gold glitter ribbon, as well as some faux greenery (the same kind I used on the original card).  Also like the original, there is a layer of sparkly mint tulle and a bit of gold metallic thread.  Then I topped it all off with the 'share cheer' embossed die cut, attaching it with 3-D foam dots for dimension.

My next card is more of the hybrid-style I like so much, incorporating stamped/die cut images with scrapbooking embellishments.  My favorite card size is 4" x 4" and the light blue chipboard frame from the Holiday Vibes collection is also 4" x 4" so it was the perfect fit!  I covered the white card base with blush pink card stock and a layer of my favorite lace.

I created another gold embossed and die cut Share Cheer image, but omitted the stamped bow and cut off the top of the die cut to trim it to just under 4".  At that size, it fits under the blue frame.  The 'just believe' navy and gold chipboard piece sits at the bottom of the card, and a bow I made with deep red embroidery floss finishes off the top like the star on a Christmas tree.  This card was very simple to make, but sometimes you don't need a ton of details or products to make a sweet card.

That will do it for me.  I appreciate you coming by on this very, very busy and important day in the paper crafting world!  You're off to see the always-amazing Rubeena Ianigro who, I have no doubt, has created something jaw-droppingly beautiful!

But before you go, there are a few extra details you'll want to know...

The Share Cheer stamps and die are only available as a $30 set, and are not applicable for any type of discount (but it's for a good cause!).  You can purchase the set HERE.

The spirit of this campaign is about giving, and Pinkfresh wants to be giving, as well, so they are going to do 7 giveaways of holiday themed stamp sets!  4 of the winners will be drawn from blog comments, and the other 3 will be drawn from the Card Drive link-up on their blog.  By commenting and creating, you'll have a chance to win one of the following sets:

Squirrel Friends, Joy & Cheer, Simple Joy, Magical Christmas, Happy Holidays, Train Ride, and Home For the Holidays

*Winners will be chosen and posted on Sunday, October 21st, on the Pinkfresh Studio Giveaway Page.  You must check that page and claim your prize within 2 weeks.*

Okay, go say hi to Rubeena for me!
