Ink to Paper :: January 2021 Release :: Day Three

Okay, friends, we've arrived at Day 3 of product introductions at Ink to Paper already!  Who's excited?!  Are you liking what you're seeing so far?  We have more fun stuff to show you today and tomorrow, and then release day is the 20th, so mark your calendars for that!

Today is all about marking those momentous occasions in our lives--milestones and establishments (weddings, births, new business ventures, retirements, etc)--and celebrating each one with friends and family.

My first card features the new Numbers dies and the first of two new Just Sentiments mini stamp sets, Milestones.  I made a card celebrating a big anniversary, using those products with images from the other day's Cake Please set and last month's Just Married collection.

I chose kraft as my background for a nice neutral, and decorated the cake in pinks, adding loads of leafy foliage around it.  The die cut 25 sits on display atop the cake, surrounded by the foliage.  The sentiment is from the JS: Milestones set; I embossed it in black on a wraparound vellum band.

A few tips:
1. Coordinate the 'milestone color' with the card: 25 is the silver anniversary; die cut the numbers from Luxe Silver cardstock

2. Use the Border Bling frame dies without the Basic Frame die to use as a full background panel

3. Arrange small die cuts, like the branches, behind the numbers to add depth and dimension to them

Supplies:
Stamps: Just Sentiments: Milestones, Cake Please, Just Married
Ink: Saffron Spice, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Watermark
Paper: Classic Kraft, Stamper's Select White, Luxe Silver, Stamper's Select Vellum Cardstock
Dies: Numbers, Cake Please, Just Married, Border Bling: Tin Stitch
Other: black embossing powder, blending pens

Our other Just Sentiments set is called Established, and it's paired today with a new Inside Greetings: Milestones.  I didn't use the Big Balloon coverplate die yesterday, so I wanted to include it today, cutting it from Sweet Blush and Hibiscus Burst papers.  I filled in some of the open cut out spaces of the SB with HB negatives, and then offset the HB cover die cut behind the SB cut, for an extra hint of the darker pink at the top.

On the HB balloons, I used the Star Stencils with Raspberry Fizz ink and a tiny blending brush.  On the SB balloons, I stamped '40', 'est.', and '1981' to reflect that this year will be a big birthday for my sister!

The tag features the Happy Birthday sentiment from JS: Established, and I created the detail lines above and below it with one of the balloon string options from the Big Balloon stamp set.

The inside features an IG: Milestones sentiment, as well as some tiny balloons and bows from BB.  I added some more stenciled stars in Tropical Teal ink.
