Ink to Paper :: December 2020 Release :: Day Three

 Welcome to Day Three of the Ink to Paper/Papertrey Ink new release introductions!  There's more fun in store for you today--a few really sweet products for pick-me-ups.

We're introducing the new Lift Me Up set which features some icons and sentiments that are meant to be encouraging and supportive for when someone you know is feeling down.  There is enough texture detail on each of the images, like the balloons and the upside down dog that you don't need to add extra color if you don't want to.  But I went ahead and added some to make my card a little more colorful.

I wanted the scene of the card to appear that the dog was being carried away by the balloons...but it's okay because she grabbed her special friend's hand, so wherever they're going, they're going together!

A Few Tips:

1. The die cut inlay of the heart frame is the perfect centerpiece for the layout of the card design

2. Apply ink to white cardstock panel with a blending brush on a gradient (use a heavier hand at the top for a dark finish; use a lighter touch the further down you go)

3. Use ink with a watercolor brush or blending pen to shade in the balloons and other die cuts

The other items we're working with today are the Dainty Daisies stamps and dies along with a new To Die For sentiment--Never Too Far.  I inked up a white panel of cardstock in alternating Lilac Grace (mixed with Winter Wisteria), and some Hawaiian Shores (mixed with Aqua Mist), then die cut the sentiment.

I stamped the daisy elements in bright and bold inks to contrast the softness of the sentiment die cut.  For a little extra detail, I adhered confetti sequins in some of the bare spots on the white background.
