Ink to Paper :: November 2020 Release :: Day Two

Welcome to Day Two of the Ink to Paper/Papertrey Ink new releases!  I'm so excited to share my projects with you today!

We're bringing you a sweet stamp set called Brighter Days, along with the Feathered Friends 6 and Cover Plate: Ornate dies.  We're also introducing this month's Inside Greetings, which is called Feel Better.

For my first card, I cut the Ornate cover from Ocean Tides cardstock and opted to keep the cutouts within the circles intact.  I stamped small red flowers in the larger openings, creating a pretty background for my Feathered Friend cardinal and the leafy foliage from Brighter Days, stamped in Saffron Spice and Pure Poppy inks.  The flowers are from yesterday's Deer to Me set.

My sentiments are from Brighter Days ('hugs & love') and Beautiful Bouquet: Mother ('just for you').  I love the way this card turned out and I can't wait to send it to someone special.  Sending cards right now is such a special thing, especially while it's much more difficult to see people.  Surprise snail mail for the win!

Supplies:
Stamps: Brighter Days, Deer to Me, Beautiful Bouquet: Mother
Ink: Pure Poppy, Saffron Spice, Pale Peony, Watermark
Paper: Ocean Tides, Pure Poppy, Sweet Blush, True Black, White
Dies: Brighter Days, Feathered Friends 6, Cover Plate: Ornate, Banner Builder: Basics
Other: white embossing powder

I took a deep dive into the Inside Greetings: Feel Better stamp set, making a project for each of the three sentiments.  My first one is a card that I hope will send a little sunshine wherever it's needed.  Using the mountain range and cloud stamps and dies from last month's Sweet Scenes: Winter, I wanted to mimic a bright sunrise.

A few tips:
1. Uplifting colors like Summer Sunrise and Bright Buttercup set the mood for an encouraging 'feel better soon' card.
2. Use two different sentiments on the front of your card by separating them--one toward the top, the other on the bottom.
3. Create a larger mountain range by 'stacking' and overlapping the die cuts behind each other.

Supplies:
Stamps: Inside Greetings: Feel Better, Sweet Scenes: Winter, Brighter Days
Ink: Dark Indigo, Pale Peony, Summer Sunrise, Bright Buttercup, Sweet Blush
Paper: Summer Sunrise, White
Dies: Sweet Scenes: Winter, Brighter Days, Beachy Keen
Other: blending brush

The next phrase is a bit of a 'get well' one, so I thought some quick and cute Get Well gifts were in order.  I have always adored the Cup of Love collection from last year, and it was perfect for this project!

All you need is a pretty (or masculine) mug--these are from Anthropologie--and a few things you probably have on hand already--tissues, cough drops, soothing tea--I even included a cloth mask because these days, they're necessary, especially when one is coughing and/or sneezing!

A few tips:
1. The "Wishing you the comfort..." Inside Greetings message just fits on the inside of the Cup of Love die cut!
2. Package up small 'get well' gifts like tissues, cough drops, and tea bags in a pretty mug for an easy pick-me-up to give a sick friend.
3. A simple color scheme like yellow and red keeps this last minute gift easy to assemble and cheerful to look at.

Supplies:
Stamps: Inside Greetings: Feel Better, Cup of Love
Ink: Watermark
Paper: Pure Poppy, Lemon Tart, Bright Buttercup
Other: small white glassine bags, Aqua Mist & Sweet Blush grosgrain ribbon, white embossing powder, mini clothespins, washi tape, white twine

My last card is one that encourages the receiver not to lose hope, even in these (or any) difficult times.

A few tips:

1. Pair the Inside Greetings message with a single word die that offers a complementary sentiment.
2. Fill in the empty white space around the IG saying with the small leafy cut-outs from Border Bling: Believe.
3. I also used the tiny leaves as blooms on the green foliage bouquet.

Supplies:
Stamps: Inside Greetings: Feel Better, Brighter Days
Ink: Spring Moss, Sweet Blush, True Black
Paper: Raspberry Fizz, Blueberry Sky, Melon Berry, White
Dies: Brighter Days, Border Bling: Believe
