Ink to Paper :: September Release :: Day Four

And we've made it to the final day of the Ink to Paper September reveal!  It's been a fantastic release and there are just a few more things we have to get through today.  You'll be able to purchase any of the new sets we've showcased tomorrow, the 15th, at 10pm EST in the ITP shop.

First up today is a super adorable stamp and die set called Storybook Christmas.  I made a couple of cards featuring this crafty book-lover's dream.  Each book spine offers a two-step combo for cute designs.  Those can be seen better on my second card.  For the first card, because I was only embossing in white, most of these books only feature a partial combo.  I went a bit classic and traditional on the first card--a couple things I haven't done in a long time!

A few tips about this card:

1. Center-stack the books by length to create a book-lover's Christmas tree
2. Heat embossing with white powder on kraft cardstock always makes for a crisp pairing
3. A frame on around the edge of the card like Border Bling: Fir adds detail without taking the focus off the book tree

Supplies:
Stamps: Storybook Christmas
Ink: Watermark
Paper: Pure Poppy, Ripe Avocado, Classic Kraft
Dies: Storybook Christmas, Border Bling: Fir
Other: white embossing powder

The second card is much different, and I've shown the books with the 2-part stamps, stacking them on a shelf above a fitting message.

A few tips about this card:

1. Give the books a more haphazard look by stacking some horizontally and some vertically
2. The corner flourishes are inked-up cutouts from the Border Bling: Joy die.
3. Books, like friends, fill our lives with joy & laughter, so this sentiment from Feathered Friends Mini 4 is the perfect pairing for this card

Supplies:
Stamps: Storybook Christmas, Feathered Friends Mini 4
Ink: Dark Indigo, Enchanted Evening, Melon Berry, Limeade Ice, Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist, True Black
Paper: White
Dies: Storybook Christmas, Border Bling: Joy

My last card, and our last reveal pairing is the Feathered Friends Mini 4 and the Inside Greetings: Warmth stamp sets.  I wanted something really bold, and I didn't use yesterday's Winter Wonder stamps as much as I'd wanted to, so I created some bright trees and reindeer to accompany my little yellow bird.

Orange Zest and Hibiscus Burst pine trees, along with Hawaiian Shore-colored deer are likely not things you'll find in a forest near you, but that sure would be a fun surprise, wouldn't it?!

The message is stamped on this tag, and I framed it with rows of yellow dots from this stamp.  Even subtle details like that can make something pop!  The dots tie in with the yellow bird and draw attention to both the feathered friend and the sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: Feathered Friends Mini 4, Inside Greetings: Warmth, Winter Wonder, Beautiful Bouquet: Sentiments
Ink: Orange Zest, Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Bright Buttercup, True Black
Paper: Classic Kraft, White
Dies: Feathered Friends Mini 4, Winter Wonder, Beautiful Bouquet Tag, Border Bling: Skinny Diagonal Frame

That's a wrap on this release!  Thank you for all of your sweet comments this weekend!  It's been so much fun to play with all of Ink to Paper's new goodies; I hope you've seen something that tickles your fancy!  Enjoy your week!
