Papertrey Ink :: June 2021 Release :: Day One

Hello there!  It's such a fun time of the month--it's the Ink to Paper / Papertrey Ink June release introductions!  Woo-hoo!  We officially started summer break this week, so it's very fitting that June at PTI is very vacation/travel/beach-oriented.

We're starting with a new Border Blings die (Flower Frame) and the Feathered Friends 12 dies, which, so fittingly, is a flamingo!  I adore this new border frame, and wanted to make sure the florals here really popped, so I cut it from white cardstock, added some Tropical Teal ink to the edges, and set it over a Summer Sunrise card panel.

I love this flamingo, too--so much, that I made two of them!  They come with very long legs, of course, but to make them fit, I snipped them off.  I inked the die cuts and accessory wing with warm pinkish-coral tones, but made each bird a little different.

The messages are from the new Just Sentiments: Wish You Were Here stamp set, which will be revealed in a couple of days.

Starting our beach theme this week is The Cover Plate: Tropical die and Better at the Beach collection.  I created a serene scene of a dock and a pair of lounge chairs.  There's a fire pit, an umbrella, and even a couple of seagulls--the perfect day for a perfect pair!
