Ink to Paper :: January 2021 Release :: Day One

Hey there, friends!  It's a new year and I know--it's weird, because it's January 16th and we're just rolling out the product introductions today for the Ink to Paper release.  There was a hiccup with the mail delivery, so the release is pushed until the 20th--that means that all the products we're showing you over the next few days will make their debut in the Ink to Paper shop that evening at 10pm EST.  Better mark your calendars, just in case you forget!

I think you've been waiting long enough to see what's in store for this new year!  There are several sets on the menu today, including the Sprigs & Sprays and Antique Wishes collections.  If you love leaves and branches, you'll adore both of them.

I used the Antique Collection frame as the backdrop for my card, heat embossing the birthday sentiment (from Antique Collection) in white inside of it.  Because the sentiment was off-center, I arranged the foliage around only the left side of the card, spreading up toward the top of the card, and out to the bottom right in a sweeping array of pretty colors.

Next up is the Cake Please collection, which we've paired up with the Delicate Doilies dies for some fabulous projects!  I made another birthday card--because you can never have too many of those, right?!  I was going for something soft and colorful, with a few pops of bold hues, like Raspberry Fizz, Ripe Avocado, and Bright Buttercup, which you can see in the stamped details.

The cake die itself has some beautiful embossed detailing, so I chose to leave it white and just add some bright pink stamped confetti and a few clear confetti sequins.

The background is the Border Bling: Confetti frame die which sits underneath the largest of the new Delicate Doilies cut-outs.  Lots of pretty colors and lots of sparkles here for a yummy-looking greeting card!
